Study Circles

The Hills Shire Bahá’i Community runs a series of spiritual courses on various topics as described below. Some of the courses which are well-received by the public are described below. Each of these courses has a community service component relevant to the course to enhance the learning of participants.

Reflection on the Life of the Spirit

A course designed to assist in the cultivation of the spiritual life of the individual and empowers them to find and follow their spiritual path through understanding their spiritual nature and developing and strengthening their latent inner capacities.

The purpose of Reflections on the Life of the Spirit is to help us develop our spirituality through reading the Word of God and reflecting on how to apply its principles in our daily lives.

The course is based on the Writings of the Bahá’í Faith, which recognizes that all of the world’s great religions emanate from the same Divine source and share common essential truths. As participants in the course read passages from Bahá’í sacred writings and discover their own unique understandings, they also enrich their learning through sharing their insights with each other.

Service to Individuals and the Society

Service to humanity is an essential expression of our spiritual qualities. The course allows participants to reflect on the purpose of their lives and supports them in formulating practical acts of service to others.
